TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tupelo City Council is working to set goals for this fiscal year.
The council met at Itawamba Community College Saturday for a retreat.
They discussed possible goals they wanted to meet before their four-year term is over.
Council President Nettie Davis coordinated this retreat to help get all of the council members on the same page.
She says setting goals will help bring people into Tupelo and benefit young professionals in the area.
"We feel that if we can establish some goals then we can work towards those goals and we will be able to reach all aspects of the community and help it move forward as it has in the past," Davis said.
Davis says this is the second retreat the council has had to discuss their goals.
