VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) — You may be waiting to hand out gifts to children on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but some children in Verona received their gifts Thursday.
The gifts came through the Robin Hood Project, an effort by law enforcement in the city to help those who needed a hand this holiday season.
"We got with the school officials, and they supplied some names for us, and we adopted two families," said Police Chief Anthony Anderson.
The money for the gifts came from the individual officers.
