TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Some tasty burgers were served Thursday in Downtown Tupelo to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club.

People came by a tent that was set up on Troy and Spring Streets to pick up their pre-placed orders.

The meal included a burger, chips, cookie and beverage.

This is the first time the Boys and Girls Club Burger Bash was held in the spring.

Normally it's in December.

Club leaders say close to 500 hamburgers were sold and all the money raised goes to support operations at both the Northside and Haven Acres Boys and Girls Clubs in Tupelo.
