TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Lee County Circuit Court judge has reduced the bond for a man charged with two counts of child molestation.

In an order filed Thursday, the bond for James E. Dutschke, 41, was lowered from $1,000,000 to $25,000.

Dutschke, the owner of Tupelo Taekwondo Plus, was arrested Januarty on two counts of child molestation filed by Tupelo Police and the Lee County Sheriff's office.

Police and sheriff's investigators say they were not contacted prior to the bond reduction, but say it is the judge's decision.

The district attorney's office says it recognizes the authority of the court to reduce bond.

Dutschke was also convicted in Tupelo Municipal Court of indecent exposure and sentenced to serve six months in jail earlier this month.

Authorities say he has appealed his conviction and his attorney has filed a request to allow him to be released on bond while the appeal is underway.

Dutschke is currently being held in the Lee County Adult Detention Center.
