TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Tupelo Police investigators are looking into a shooting that happened outside the Fast Lane convenience store on North Gloster Street and Symphony Lane.
Just before 11:00a.m. Thursday morning, police responded to a shooting at the store.
Investigators say a man had a gun in a bag in his truck that accidentally discharged.
They have not released the caliber of the handgun.
The man was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo by ambulance for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Tupelo detectives say they do not know the condition of the man.
The incident remains under investigation.
