TUPELO, Miss (WTVA) -- If you're looking for a family friendly event this weekend the Girl Scouts will host the 3rd Annual Green Festival.

Organizers were busy Friday morning setting up for the Saturday event which kicks off at 9am at Ballard Park.

A number of free craft activities will be available for visitors. Eco-educators will also be on hand to speak about ways to be more eco-friendly.

A rock climbing wall, trackless train, and inflatables are just a few of the activities kids can take part in.

"It's Earth day weekend so we are celebrating Earth day and inviting everybody to think about being green whether it be turning off the light switch as you leave a room. Or if you are recycling at home we want to encourage all those types of green efforts." says Jenny Jones the Director of Marketing for the Girl Scouts.

Admission is free; however, there are activities that cost a small fee. Food vendors will also be present during the one day festival.
