School starts delayed due to severe weather threat

(WTVA) — Some local school districts are pushing back the start of classes on Wednesday.

Elementary schools in Columbus will begin at 9:30 a.m. while other public schools in the city will start at 10:15 a.m.

Four school districts will have 10 a.m. starts: Choctaw County, Immanuel Christian, Lamar County, Alabama, and Louisville.  That start time also applies for classes at East Central Community College.

Oktibbeha County schools will start at 9 a.m.
