SULLIGENT, Ala. (WTVA) — Unofficial results from Tuesday's general election show voters in Sulligent have re-elected Mayor Scott Boman to a third term.

Boman defeated Robert Turner 564 to 393.

The two competed four years ago where Boman won and Turner challenged the outcome in court.

Turner said 97 absentee ballots in that election should have been thrown out because someone other than the voters mailed them.

A judge upheld the election saying that act is not illegal.
