SULLIGENT, Ala. (WTVA) — Firefighters from multiple departments were called Saturday night to put out a fire in a couple of buildings in downtown Sulligent, Alabama.

The call for help went out around 10:30 p.m. to respond to the fire on Front Street.

Police Chief Willis Stanford says one of the buildings on fire was vacant while the other next door was a furniture store.

He added no one was hurt and it's unclear what caused the fire.

Fire departments from Hamilton, Winfield, Vernon, Kennedy and Byrd responded along with Sulligent.
