LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - WTVA.com has learned that there are just as many people on the scene on Thursday as on Wednesday to help search for a missing 19-year-old young man in Lafayette County around and on the Yocona River along Highway 328 in Taylor, Mississippi.

Stephen Tyler Emerick was last seen Tuesday night.

WTVA.com has learned that trained search dogs have been on the scene of the search.

A search dog has reportedly been used on Thursday inside a boat as rescuers search the river area.

Also, there is a search dog that is expected to be used on land.

Thursday's search was expected to begin around 8:30 a.m.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Dozens of people including law enforcement and volunteers combed an area of Lafayette County on Wednesday to try to find 19-year-old Stephen Emerick.

The search is along the Yocona River along Highway 328 in Taylor, Mississippi.

The teenager was last seen Tuesday night.

His truck was found running Wednesday morning close to Highway 328 near Taylor, Mississippi.

Authorities say his cell phone and wallet were still inside the truck.

Searchers included some on four-wheelers.

The effort lasted for about 12 hours on Wednesday until around 8:30 p.m.

Authorities tell WTVA.com that the search is scheduled to resume Thursday morning at 8:30.
