Oxford police investigate robbery of delivery driver

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Oxford Police Department is investigating the robbery of a food delivery driver Tuesday night.

Officers say the driver for Coop De Ville was making a delivery at University Arbor Apartments around 10:25 when he was accosted by three black men who demanded money.

The three made of with an undetermined amount of cash.

Last week, three black men robbed a taxi driver on Cooksteen Drive in the city.

There is no word on if police believe the cases to be related.

Oxford police remind all vehicles for hire or delivery drivers to be aware of their surroundings when responding for service.
