Oxford named top retirement city

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- The city of Oxford was recently named a top-spot for retirement.

Grandparents.com listed the town in its top 6 list of college towns to retire in, noting the town's mark on literary history.

The website remarks on William Faulkner and John Grisham taking residence in Oxford and mentions the town's annual literary conferences, The Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference and Oxford Conference for the Book.

Literature aside, the article highlights the town for being home to the University of Mississippi and Ole Miss football team.
