CLAYTON, Mo. (WTVA) -- Olin Corporation announced today its fourth quarter sales were up nearly $142 million over the same period in 2011.
The company says sales reached $587.6 million among all its divisions.
They say the net income during the period was $34.6 million.
Nearly have of the net increase, $16.5 million, comes from the company's Winchester division.
The company reports sales of $155.8 million, a $33.3 million increase during the fourth quarter.
Winchester officials says the increase in sales reflects increased shipments to commercial, military, and law enforcement customers.
They say higher volumes, improved pricing, and a $3 million dollar settlement in the companies favor in a property tax dispute helped with the net increase.
Olin operates the Winchester ammunition plant in Oxford.
