HOUSTON (WTVA) -- CenterPoint Energy, OGE Energy and ArcLight Capital Partners will combine some of their operations to form a midstream company.
The companies announced the merger Thursday and will have an estimated $11 billion in assets.
The new partnership will own and operate 8,400 miles of interstate pipelines spread across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
CenterPoint Energy is an electricity and natural gas provider who handles gas service for the city of Oxford.
The companies expect the partnership to close later this year pending regulatory approval.
The transaction has been approved by the board of all three companies.
