UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WTVA) -- The University of Mississippi Oxford campus has been placed under a boil water advisory.

The schools website says the advisory was issued Tuesday afternoon after a water line broke at a construction site.

The notice was issued as a precaution because the water system lost pressure.

People need to boil water for one minute before drinking.

The notice will remain in effect until tests show the water is safe to drink.
