FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Three members of the Northeast Itawamba Water Association board have resigned.

Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley tells WTVA.com the members sent letters to the association about their decision.

A water association spokesperson says Brian Cunningham, Eunice Mayhall, and Lemois Oswalt submitted one sentence letters of resignation at
the bi-monthly meeting of the association Monday night.

He says four board members are still in place to oversee operations of the NE Itawamba Water Association until three new members are elected.

The Northeast Itawamba Water Association has dealt with a dwindling water supply and billing issues over the past several months.
