FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A truck inspection in Itawamba County lead to the arrest of a South Carolina man on drug charges.

MDOT Enforcement Chief Willie Huff tells WTVA.com Arthur Leon Seibles, Sr., 56, of Lancaster, SC was arrested after officers found 74 pounds of marijuana during a safety inspection at the Fulton weigh station on Highway 78 Monday night.

Huff says paperwork provided by Seibles showed irregularities and they asked him to pull to the inspection area around 9:30 p.m.

He says Seibles told officers the trailer was empty, but they found six large brown boxes sealed with tape.

Seibles is currently in the Itawamba County jail on a charge of possession of marijuana.

The investigation was turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
