FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The 2nd annual Stand By Your Grill Mississippi Championship Festival is coming soon.
Organizers of this barbecue competition and festival say 50 professional cooking teams have already signed on to compete for the $10,000 prize.
While the barbecue competition takes place at the Jamie Whitten Park on the waterway, other activities will take place on the Fulton town square.
They are really excited to offer the "Chicken Little" competition for children ages 6 to 16.
"Everybody will get a little award for participating and we will give trophies to the winners," Itawamba County Development Council Community Development Director Kim Graham said.
There will also be a cooking competition for adults called the "Backyard Barbecue."
There will also be arts and crafts vendors for the event to be held August 17 and 18.
