LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - About 3500 customers of Tombigbee Electric Power Association were without power for about an hour and a half Monday afternoon.
Spokesman Bill Long tells WTVA.com that the power went out around 4 p.m. and was restored around 5:30 p.m.
He says there was damage to a transformer at the Mooreville substation.
Long says the damage was possibly from a lightning strike at some time recently.
