FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man considered by authorities to be the mastermind of a home burglary in Itawamba County last year has pleaded guilty to charges for his role in the break-in.

Matthew Graham entered the guilty plea to burglary of a dwelling during a hearing Monday in Itawamba County Circuit Court.

Graham was the former son-in-law of the home's owners.

Authorities say several hundred thousand dollars was taken from a safe inside the home during the breakin on July 3, 2013.

Graham was ordered to serve eight years in prison and make restitution of approximately $300,000 in cash and other assets.

Graham still faces charges in Tishomingo County of attempting to hire someone to kill a witness in the case.
