FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Fulton man was airlifted from the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Highway 78 near Fawn Grove Friday morning.
A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson says William Landry, 35, was driving west in a pickup when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned several times.
Authorities say he was wearing a seatbelt, but was partially ejected.
The truck was laying on one of his legs when emergency responders arrived at the scene.
The highway was closed briefly to allow a medical helicopter to land at the scene of the accident.
An MHP spokesperson described Landry's injuries as "moderate".
The accident remains under investigation.
