Itawamba authorities say arrests connected to 15 burglaries

FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Itawamba County authorities say the arrest of four people has helped them solve 15 burglaries in the county.

Investigators say they arrested Bobby Lee McCullough, 25, and James Anthony Newcomb, 28, of Mantachie face charges in the burglary of a home on Highway 371 in Mantachie.

Sheriff's officials say McCullough broke into a home Saturday and then went to Newcomb's to try and sell the items taken.

McCullough is charged with burglary of a dwelling and has a $5,000 bond.

Newcomb is charged with accessory after the fact and bond was set at $2,500.

In a seperate investigation, Investigators arrested Justin Cole Williams, 20, of Tupelo and Rebecca Lee Shiers, 23, of Fulton.

Williams is charged with three counts of burglary and nine counts of grand larceny and Shiers is charged with two counts of burglary.

Authorities say the burglaries took place in the Dorsey, Evergreen and Carolina communities.

Williams is being held in the Itawamba County jail and Shiers is being held in the Lee County jail.

Both are on a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
