ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) --   Four accidents shut down part of Highway 78 for more than an hour Sunday night, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Trooper Ray Hall said it happened around mile marker 112 near Fulton.

Hall said the accidents took place when the driver of a 18-wheeler veered into the median, which knocked its load of cross ties into the westbound lanes.

Three vehicles hit the debris, causing three separate accidents.

Two of the vehicles flipped over, Hall said.

Despite that, authorities said nobody was seriously injured.
