VICKSBURG, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Fulton native has won the coveted crown of Miss Mississippi.
Miss Amory Railroad Festival Chelsea Rick beat out dozens of contestants from around the Magnolia State Saturday night in Vicksburg for the honor.
WLBT-TV reports Rick also won twice during the preliminary competition for swimsuit and talent.
Rick said she wants to become an internal medicine physician and is currently enrolled in the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The remaining finalists are as follows: first runner-up Hannah Roberts, Miss University of Southern Mississippi; second runner-up Laura Lee Lewis, Miss West Central; third runner-up Jordin Johnson, Miss Leaf River Valley; and fourth runner-up Caroline Conerly, Miss University.
Rick will soon head to Atlantic City to represent Mississippi in the Miss America Pageant.
