Police search for suspects in two shootings

GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Grenada police are searching for suspects in two shootings that occurred in the town Sunday night.

Police say they were dispatched to the home of Fredrick Collins, 21, on West Govan Street around 10:15.

At the time of their arrival, Collins was exiting his house and holding his body, which had endured multiple gun shot wounds.

Collins was transported to the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford and later transferred to a Memphis hospital for further treatment.

Police say he was unable to provide any information at the scene in reference to the shooting.

Another shooting occurred in the Sundown Subdivision where a vehicle was struck with bullets.

No injuries from this shooting have been reported.

Currently, it is unclear whether the two shootings are related.
