GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) — Police in Grenada are trying to solve two recent armed robberies, one of which was at a Dollar Tree store.

Officers were called before 9:30 p.m. Saturday to the store on Sunset Drive.

Police Captain George Douglas says two employees were robbed at gunpoint with one tied up with duct tape.

According to Douglas, officers noticed a vehicle leaving from the store and followed it to a home on Sweet Home Road where the driver got out and ran away from police.

The other armed robbery happened in front of a business Friday night after 9 p.m. on Frontage Road.

Douglas says the robber got into a parked car with a woman, got her wallet at gunpoint and left.
