Grenada to receive USDA grant

GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) -- The city of Grenada will receive money from the U. S. Department of Agriculture for a recycling business.

The funding was announced Wednesday morning by Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack.

The city will receive $185,139 to purchase equipment for a start-up recycling company.

The Grenada project is among 131 projects in 30 states and Puerto Rico to receive grants from the Rural Business Enterprise Grant program.
