GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Investigators are looking into the death of a Grenada woman reported early Wednesday morning.

Officers say they were dispatched to a Main Street apartment where they found the body of Candace Davis, 33.

Police say Davis' body was sent to Jackson for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and the state crime lab are assisting in the investigation that police are calling a possible homicide.

On Friday, Izzic Terrell Townes, 43, was shot in an apartment on Govan Street after going to answer a knock on the door around 3 a.m.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection to his death.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to call the Grenada Police Department at 662-226-1211 or 662-227-TIPS.
