Grants target illegal dump sites

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Three Mississippi counties are receiving help from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality to clean up illegal dump sites.

MDEQ announced the grants on Wednesday.

Grenada, Webster and Yalobusha County will also received funding to help with the clean up.

The grants come from the Solid Waste Assistance Grant program through MDEQ.

The counties received the following awards:

Grenada - $17,479
Webster - $10,320
Yalobusha - $16,860
