WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Several people were arrested on drug charges in Clay County last week.

On May 25, deputies say they arrested Corey Quinn, 24, of Woodland for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Quinn was arrested following a traffic stop. Deputies say drug paraphernalia and approximately 65 grams of marijuana were seized during the arrest.

Quinn is being held at the Clay County Jail with a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

On Thursday, two men were arrested in separate cases after search warrants were executed in the Mantee community.

Deputies say John Henry Moye, 42, was arrested for possession and sale of cocaine. Moye was denied bond.

Brad Reed, 37, was also arrested on two counts of sale of cocaine and one count of sale of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $75,000.

In a separate case Friday, West Point resident Tiffany Rupert, 22, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Deputies say Rupert was found behind the jail trying to introduce controlled substances into the correctional facility.

Her bond was set at $50,000.

Deputies say inmate Derrick Johnson, 46, was also charged with attempt to commit an offense in connection with the case.

Sheriff Eddie Scott says more arrests are expected to follow.
