OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A West Point man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of selling a controlled substance.
Jamel Banks, 34, of West Point entered the guilty plea during a Thursday morning hearing in U. S. District Court in Oxford.
A federal grand jury originally indicted him on 10-counts of sale of a controlled substance.
Banks pleaded guilty to one count of knowlingly distributing a substance containing a cocaine base.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
