WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two young men are the first graduates of the Clay County Drug Court.

Dantun Fair and one other have spent the past year trying to build a new life for themselves.

Justice Court Judge Thomas Hampton makes the decision as to who participates in the program.

The program takes the place of jail time.

Those who are selected must stay drug-free.

They also must get their GED.

They are required to pay all fines and to get their license reinstated.

"It's totally rewarding. I mean I just can't get enough of it and I'm so proud of them," Judge Hampton said.
