Former West Point business owner dies

WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Retired West Point businessman Don Permenter has died.

Permenter, 76, was the long time owner of Don's Drive Inn in the city.

A 1955 graduate of West Point High School, Permenter was active in the the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club in the community.

Permenter died Wednesday at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
