CLAY CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- Clay County Sheriff Department investigators have charged two men for breaking out of jail early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say Austin Parker, 20, and Jonathon C. O’Brian, 20, have both been captured and are currently incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center awaiting their initial court appearance at the Clay County Justice Court.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott says Parker and O'Brian were captured without incident at Hardee's Restaurant in Houston.

Sheriff Scott says the suspects escaped through a cell light fixture gaining access to the attic area of the jail.

Maintenance crews are in the process of securing the other light fixtures in the cell areas of the jail.

Scott says he appreciates help from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, the U.S. Marshal’s Service, West Point Police Department and Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department.
