WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Clay County Board of Supervisors has announced the closing of a section of Colony Road to replace a bridge.
District 5 Supervisor Floyd McKee says crews began work last week on $290,000 project.
The county has closed the road between Chandler Road and McNulty Road.
McKee says the engineer expects the work to last between three to six months depending on the weather.
He says once the bridge is completed, work will begin on paving the southern section of Colony Road.
