WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Twenty-one people were arrested in Clay County following indictments handed down by the Clay County Grand Jury in April.
Of the 21 arrests, two involved burglaries, four involved aggravated assault and eight involved possession of drugs.
Also including in the arrests were charges of armed robbery, child abuse, third offense of DUI, simple assault on a police officer, accessory after the face, fraudulent use of ID and uttering forgery.
Several law enforcement agencies assisted in the arrests, including the West Point Police Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Mississippi Department of Corrections, Oktibbeha County Sheriff Department and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
