Suspects arrested in pharmacy burglary ring

Ackerman, Miss  (WTVA) -- Bond has been set at $1,000,000 for three men charged with the burglary of an Ackerman pharmacy.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics says 31-year-old twin brothers Marcus and Maurice Taylor were arrested at a home in south Jackson, while 22-year-old Leabrian Myers was arrested after a traffic stop in Madison County.

All three were arrested December 7th

Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents say they seized nearly 6,500 dosage units of narcotics, six marijuana plants, 30 grams of processed marijuana and a Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) laced popsicle.

All three are being held in the Choctaw County Detention Center. They have been charged with one count each of burglary of a commercial building.

The arrests were the culmination of a six-month of a series pharmacy burglaries investigation called “The Trash Bag Gang.” Additional charges are pending a review by a Choctaw County Grand Jury.
