STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man had to be rescued from the walls of a Starkville business Friday morning after police say he fell through the roof during a burglary attempt.
Starkville police say they received a call from the Sprint Mart on Highway 12 and New Light Road around 4:30 a.m. after clerks heard a man screaming for help.
It took police and firefighters nearly 30 minutes to pull James Rovenstine out from between the walls.
Investigators say Rovenstine, 23, apparently climbed on the roof as part of the burglary attempt, but then fell through and got stuck.
They say he was not injured.
Rovenstine, of Weir, is charged with burglary of a commercial building.
