Five vehicles involved in crash in Choctaw Co.

CHOCTAW CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate a accident that happened Wednesday morning in Choctaw County.

Investigators say the five vehicle crash happened around 7:00 a.m. on Highway 15 north of Ackerman, about one mile south of Staten Road. 

Authorities say a north bound Nissan pick-up driven by Christopher Keller, 30, of Ackerman attempted to pass a garbage truck and collided with a Choctaw County School Bus driven by Wanda Wells, 58, of Ackerman.
Keller also hit two other vehicles, a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christopher Bridges,33, from Mathiston and a 2005 Toyota Avalon driven by Margaret Blackwell, 51, of Mathiston.

There were 24 passengers on the school bus but no one was injured.

There were two minor injury sustained in the accident.

Mr. Keller, the driver of the Nissan, was transported to Pioneer in Ackerman along with Rodriguez Moore, 32, a Choctaw County Trustee, who was a passenger on the garbage truck.
