JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Supreme Court will not review the case of a Choctaw County man serving time in prison on drug charges.

Jerome Patterson, 47, appealed his conviction and eight year sentence on sale of a controlled substance.

In his appeal, he claimed the judge erred in granting a delay after prosecutors waited until the day before the trial began to provide information on a confidential informant.

In May of 2011, the Mississippi Court of Appeals ordered a new trial.

After rehearing the case, judges reversed the earlier ruling and withdrew the order.

The Mississippi Court of Appeals has reversed itself and withdrawn a ruling granting a new trial in a Choctaw County drug case.
