Two arrested for selling counterfeit goods

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Okolona business has been visited for a second time by investigators with the Mississippi Attorney General's  Office over the sale of counterfeit goods.

Authorities say they arrested Willie McMillian, 46, and Sophia Hill, 47, both of Okolona following an undercover investigation at Urban Wear.

Last December, agents had served a search warrant on the business and charged McMillian with two counts of selling counterfeit items containing counterfeit labels.

The public notified authorities the business had reopened.

Investigators say during the current undercover operation, they seized of $275,000 in counterfeit items from the business.

McMillian and Hill each face two counts of sale of counterfeit goods bearing counterfeit labels and/or trademarks.

The charges carry a maximum of five years in prison for each count.

The operation was conducted by the Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Division, Chickasaw County Sheriff, Monroe County Sheriff, Okolona Police, North Mississippi Narcotics unit in conjunction with the AG's Knock Out Knock-Offs Task Force.
