OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Chickasaw County man has been sentenced on federal charges he filed a fraudulent disaster claim with FEMA.

Robert Sullivan, 26, of Houston was indicted for filing a claim on a damaged home in Okolona following the storms on April 27, 2011.

The two count indictment says Sullivan claimed the home was his primary residence, but was not and was not eligible for disaster assistance.

The indictment also says Sullivan took the money and used it despite not being eligible to receive aid.

Sullivan was sentenced to time served, five years probation, and ordered to repay $30,400.

Authorities say Sullivan has paid the resitution in full.
