LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA)--A Houlka man is now charged with culpable negligence manslaughter involving a fatal accident in September.
Jason Pannell, 34, was involved in the two-car crash on the intersection of CR 506 and CR 300 in Lee County in the Pontocola Community.
Pannell and the other driver, Earlie Rogers, were transported to North Mississippi Medical Center.
Pannell was treated and released, but Rogers died from his injuries.
"We reconstructed the accident and several other photos were taken. Evidence was sent to the crime lab to ensure that the one who was responsible for this accident was held accountable for it," said Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson.
Pannell was already in custody for a violation to probation from another incident.
