FT. WORTH, Tex. (WTVA) -- The Houston High School Sundancer is continuing to lead the way at the Solar Car Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.

The team ran more laps than any other team in the competition for the second day in a row and is currently leading the Open Division of the race.

The Sundancer has driven nearly 400 miles during the first two days of racing.

Choctaw Central High School, located on the Choctaw Indian Reservation in Philadelphia, is leading the Advanced Division of the race.

On Wednesday, the teams will take to the open road, traveling from Ft. Worth to Waco.

The final leg of the race will take place Thursday, a run from Waco to Austin.

Nineteen teams from across the country are taking part in this year's race.
