HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Chickasaw County authorities are searching for the suspect in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman Friday morning.
Chief Deputy Jim Meyers tells WTVA.com they received the call in the early morning hours about a woman who had been taken from a home on the Chickasaw - Lee County line at gunpoint and then assaulted.
He says the woman was later released.
Meyers says the man had his face covered, and the woman wasn't able to provide many details about him.
He says deputies collected a good bit of physical evidence and are waiting results of DNA testing from the state crime lab.
Meyers says they do believe it to be an isolated incident.
