OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Okolona Assistant Police Chief was terminated at the Board of Aldermen meeting Tuesday.

Mayor Louise Cole says Romonia Robinson has been off the job since May.

Robinson was stopped on Highway 32 in December of 2012 by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

MHP says she was driving 77 in a 55 mph zone.

Robinson was found guilty of a DUI and disorderly conduct following a hearing in justice court in May.
