HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Chickasaw County authorities have made an arrest in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman last month.
Chief Deputy Jim Meyers tells WTVA.com deputies arrested Bruce Rogers, 40, of Okolona Monday night.
Meyers says deputies received a call in the early morning hours on September 14th about a woman who had been taken from a home on the Chickasaw - Lee County line at gunpoint and then assaulted.
He says the woman was later released.
Meyers says they do not believe the two people knew each other.
Meyers says physical evidence sent to the crime lab lead to Rogers arrest.
He says Rogers is charged with rape, kidnapping, and burglary.
Meyers says Rogers is currently being held without bond in the Chickasaw County jail because he was on probation in Lee County.
