BRUCE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A woman in Calhoun County is proving that age is nothing but a number.

Ellie Young turned 100 Thursday.

"I don't feel like I'm 100. Sometimes when my knees hurt bad I do," Young said.

Her family members celebrated Saturday by throwing her a second birthday party at the Chickenbone Volunteer Fire Department in Bruce.

All of Young's family members and close friends came to her party.

Young's first 100th celebration was a surprise party on her actual birthday.

She said that she thinks the older she has gotten the faster time has gone by.

Young's family is very excited about this milestone.

"Just so blessed to have her and thankful to God that she has been as healthy as she has been," Young's daughter Karen Wilson said. "We hope we have many more birthdays with her."

Young received more than 140 birthday cards from her friends and family for this special day.
