CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Officials say a boil water notice is in effect for portions of Calhoun County due to a well problem.

A spokesperson for the Poplar Springs Water district tells WTVA.com that well number two is down.

He says the well is in the Ellzey community and serves about 150 customers.

When a boil water notice is issued, experts say customers need to boil their water vigorously for about one minute before it's used.
