CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man involved in a shooting that happened in January in Calhoun City will remain behind bars until his trial.
A Calhoun County Circuit Court judge issued the decision to hold Wayne Harris, 56, without bond following a hearing Friday.
In June, Harris was indicted by a special grand jury Thursday on a depraved heart murder charge in the shooting death of Chris McGonagill.
Harris and McGonagill were each wounded in an exchange of gunfire and McGonagill died while undergoing surgery.
Harris was also indicted for touching a child for lustful purposes and four counts of sexual battery in an unrelated case.
He is being held in the Calhoun County jail.
